Introducing the Codify Desktop App
The Codify desktop app is here, a native application that brings everything you love about the web dashboard to your machine, with deeper system integration and a more seamless experience.
We're thrilled to announce the Codify Desktop App, a web-based desktop application that brings the full power of the Codify dashboard to your machine.
Why a Desktop App?
The web dashboard has always been a great way to manage your Codify configurations. But managing your local system through a website has friction: it lives alongside dozens of other browser tabs, and connecting it to your machine requires extra steps. The desktop app removes those constraints.
With the desktop app, Codify feels like a first-class citizen on your machine, always one click away, and connecting to your local CLI is automatic.
Everything from the Dashboard, and More
The desktop app is a full rebuild of the web dashboard experience. Every feature you rely on is there:
- File management: create, upload, rename, duplicate, download, and delete your Codify configuration files.
- Visual block editor: add and configure resources from the Codify library without touching raw JSON. Toggle to the code editor anytime for direct control.
- Terminal and run sessions: execute plans and applies and watch the output in real time, with multiple tabs open at once.
- Import wizard: auto-generate a config from your currently installed tools in three steps: connect, import, review.
- Sharing and collaboration: share documents with teammates, assign Owner, Admin, or Viewer roles, and see live presence indicators when others are editing.
- Organization management: invite team members, manage roles, and control access across your workspace.
Deeper System Integration
The desktop app connects directly to your local Codify CLI automatically. No need to run any terminal commands to establish a connection — just open the app and you're ready to go. When you hit Apply, the configuration goes straight to your machine, with real-time plan and apply operations happening seamlessly without leaving the app.

Download the Codify desktop app from our downloads page and log in with your existing Codify account. If you're new to Codify, you can sign up for free.
The desktop app is available for macOS and Linux today.
